How has volunteering with our Advocacy team given you an opportunity to be part of World Vision?

"Being a part of the Advocacy team gives me an opportunity to be a part of a community that cares about following Jesus and caring for our global neighbors. Advocacy has also been a way for me to be a part of World Vision's work and mission and to follow Jesus alongside others who seek the good of our neighbors around the world."

How would you describe your overall experience serving on our team?

"Advocacy has helped me to humanize both sides of the policy conversation. I think World Vision's approach helps put faces to policy issues that can sometimes be reduced to faceless numbers and also reminds me that people making policy have faces too! It's been a continuous reminder that policy is about people and how we engage others matters as much as what we advocate for."

Any other words of encouragement?

"Your voice and your presence matter because people matter to God. It's a joy to find a group of people who share in the commitment to be a part of God's story of reconciliation in the world and who see advocacy as one small way to join in that story as we encourage one another to keep showing up."
