Senators and representatives have the hard job of balancing the competing interests of their constituents. Send a note of encouragement and prayer to your members of Congress today.

Every member of Congress begins the new term with high ideals and objectives – members run for office because they want to create positive change in their communities and their country. But political pressures can creep in and pull them away from their original aspirations. Though you may not always agree with your members of Congress on issues or their decisions, as Christians, we are called to pray for our leaders. Most of them claim some kind of faith – 88.2 percent of Congress is Christian and nearly 97 percent is religious.

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people —for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
1 Timothy 2:1-2

Send a note of encouragement to your members of Congress letting them know that you are praying for them. Thank them for the work they do and remind them to keep the needs of children around the world in mind as they make critical decisions.

What kind of things can you share?
A thank you for something your senator or representative has done that you appreciated.
A Bible verse that strikes you or a note of prayer.
Remind them of the needs of children who are impacted by their decisions, not only here in the U.S., but around the world.

  • God bless you and your family. May you take your guidance from God to lead you in the job you do. God is our leader who loves us and wants the best for us. Otherwise we get caught up in worldly views and in the end there are hurt people. Of course some people choose the wide path to destruction. I pray you choose the narrow path to God that leads to life everlasting.

  • I pray for our leaders to have wisdom and that they will pass laws that protect the underprivileged in our world, to keep them from being lured into sex trafficking. This modern day slavery is a terrible problem around our world. Lord, help our leaders to cast the bright votes to keep these laws that can serve as deterrents to this scourge on our society. Thank you, Lord.

  • I thank you for the opportunity to support the Trafficking Victims Protection Act. Pray that your support for this will grow greatly in number of voices being heard to reinstate this help for our world.

  • Thank you for your service to our country. I am praying for you r protection and that of your families. I also pray for you to make wise decisions and only decisions that are in line with our judeo Christian heritage and the constitution. Please favor World Vision in their quest to help ” the least of these”

  • I pray for your family’s and you.. That God may lead you to do great things for our nation..MAY GOD BLESS YOU with WISDOM and LOVE…

  • We are confident that you and other members of our government are guided each and every day by God, our saviour. Our country was founded on the princples of faith and love, and those principles should remain the cornerstone of this great country today. Thank you for your service.

  • Lord, We lift up our leaders. You have placed them as rulers over us. Give them the wisdom for the job at hand. Help them to remember that they represent all people whether they have wealth or not; we are all your children and have something to contribute to society. Give them strength and a spirit of cooperativeness as they work to find solutions for the hard things in life, such as healthcare and protecting our little ones from human trafficking. Protect them and their families. In Christ name we pray.

  • to whom much is given, much is required.
iron sharpens iron, so does one lift the countenance of another.

  • “For verily I say unto you that who so ever shall say unto this mountain be removed and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which s/he says shall come to pass s/he shall have what ever s/he sayeth!” Mark 11:23 (KJV). God bless you.

  • We pray our leaders will be filled with the Holy Spirit and be moved to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves. To protect and honor the innocents of this world who are depending on all good and decent people. To abandon them is to abandon our humanity. Our leaders are faced with an overwhelming responsibility to do what’s right and good in God’s eyes and there will always be obstacles. Trust in God and He will provide the guidance so needed in our very troubled country and a very troubled world. We pray our Lord blesses them and gives them the strength to do what is right no matter the consequences.
