“I called – it was short and sweet. Person who answered said he would deliver the message.”
–Sarah, World Vision Advocate
Today is World Day Against Child Labor. We want to say thank you to everyone who has made a phone call today to support programs that fight child labor, and for those of you who have not, it is not too late! Leaving a voicemail also works and is counted just the same.
We are asking people to make one phone call. Funding for grant programs under the International Labor Affairs Bureau (ILAB) that fight child labor are at risk of being eliminated. These programs have a proven track record of success, working with partners to lift more than 1.94 million children out of child labor since 1995. Continuing these programs means that more children will be in school, children will be healthier, communities will be stronger, and as these children become adults, these communities will thrive.
If this is your first time making a phone call, it may be easier than you expect. Watch below, making a phone call takes me less than one minute –
Our goal is one-hundred logged calls for today. Thank you for your continued advocacy!
