Merry Christmas! To celebrate, we wanted to share with you a story by Dana M Buck. In this story, you will be taken into the world of an 8-year-old boy as he delights in his Christmas traditions and fears stockings full of coal, learning about grace and forgiveness along the way.

We hope you enjoy!

Dana M Buck serves as the Senior Director of Employee and Community Engagement at World Vision. Dana has been with World Vision for over 37 years — more than half of the organization’s history. The longer he works for World Vision, the more convinced he is that God’s heart is with the poor. “The closer you draw to the poor,” he says, “the more you get in touch with the heart of God.” Described as World Vision’s “poet laureate,” Dana has authored dozens of rhyming parables that charm audiences with their hearts with spiritual content.

  • Dana, it is good to see that some of the old timers like you are still around. My days at WV were the most special of any job I had over my career. A lot of the reason for that were the relationships built with fellow employees like you. Pat and I are enjoying our retirement in a suburb of Denver, Colorado. God has been good to us. Old age aches and pains, knee replacements for Pat and back surgery for me, but other than that we are good to go. I hope you enjoy this Christmas Season and our God blesses you abundantly. 39 years, what a glutton for punishment!!!
