In just a couple of hours, the House will vote on a final version of the Global Food Security Act. This is a bill that has been more than three years in the making. If passed, this bill will empower women to support their families, support nutrition programs for children under 5, provide economic opportunities for small-holder farmers, and more. This bill will give people the tools they need to lift themselves out of poverty.
The Global Food Security Act does not include any new spending or programs. Instead, it seeks to bring critical oversight to U.S. government’s comprehensive approach to address global food and nutrition security.
This is the final moment to urge your Representative to vote yes on this critical bill and place the Global Food Security Act on the President’s Desk by the end of today.
